College money management, Saving Tips For College

by Durga Krishnan
(Virginia, US)

When it comes to college money management, these money saving tips for college will help keep your expenses in check.

College students often don't have a lot of money to save and quite a few unavoidable expenses. But college is the time to go out and have a great time with friends. And with a bit of research and scouting around, I have found a few ways I can have fun and not spend a fortune.

When you live near a college, a college ID often gets you discounts at the movies, at some restaurants, theatres, museums, and a variety of other places.

Stores around colleges usually have discounted items. Also, many non-conventional theaters charge less than half what a regular cinema does.

Going out for lunches in groups and buying a-la- carte is another frugal approach to saving money. Drinking water or juice is cheaper too than getting drinks unless you go during happy hour.

Printing and searching for discounts before doing anything can save a ton of money and takes little time.
