Save On Paper

One way that I try to save money as a frugal homemaker is by not using, paper towels and paper napkins. These are items that we all use on a daily basis, several times a day and it all ends up in the trash.

It's also very bad for the environment. I recently went to Costco and purchased paper towels, paper napkins and bathroom tissue. I spent well over $40 dollars on stuff that gets thrown in the trash after using it for say 2 seconds!

We have cloth napkins that we've had around for several years and they may not look that pretty, but they get the job done and save us some money at the end of the month.

If you do want something that looks nice, there are many cloth napkins you can purchase at Target or Walmart and they pay you back in the end since you can use them over and over again.

Some might say that cloth napkins add to household costs because they need to be washed. In reality the cost of one more load of laundry is not a lot, especially if you hang your napkins to dry.

I invite everyone to give cloth napkins for cleaning and eating a try and see how much money you save!
