Homemade Christmas card ideas

I’ve always appreciated the extra thought and care that go into homemade Christmas cards, versus store-bought Christmas cards. In my view, homemade Christmas card ideas are even better yet when they are the kind of cards that only you could make. One such idea is for a card which conveniently is suitable even for those friends and relatives that you really shouldn’t send a Christmas card to, so much as a seasonal, holiday wishes in general sort of card. It is very simple and low-material-cost to make, as well.
Just start by creating a card template on a computer art program, so you can keep track of how things are being cut down to size and folded, and then be ready to print one line of placed blue text on the front, saying something like, “Each of us offers unique blessings.…” and then another line on the inside of the card, saying something like, “….Thank you for sharing yours with us.” Then, around or over the text on the front of the card (depending on how you have designed things), create a snowflake design. To make each snowflake, have a family member press a fingertip into thinned blue paint or onto a blue ink-pad, and then rotate the paper to most easily create a circle of prints. Each family member should leave their prints in snowflake form. Variations possible involve larger snowflakes made of combing family member prints of different sizes into a more elaborate pattern, or printing the snowflakes in different shades of blue, to add more depth to the effect.
