Homemade gifts for men
by Natalia
I love giving gifts to my friends, children and family. There are many homemade gifts for men that I like to make. When I make gifts for my uncles, my grandpa and my dad, I use some verses written by myself about them, like a poem on the greeting card I made.
Once I gifted my dad painted paper weight made of a pebble I found and wrote "I love u daddy “on it. It was simple to make, I just found one big smooth pebble from the garden and washed it off. Then I used paint to write the words on it. You can use their favorite colors and paint a football, hockey stick, baseball, hammer, etc. on it to personalize it even more for their favorite sport, hobby, etc. After the paint dries give a coat of clear varnish and let it dry. A beautiful, personalized and useful paper weight is ready.
I gave my grandfather a photo frame made by me using hardboard, acetate sheet, fabric, sponge sheets, and glue etching. I put a photo of my grandpa and me in it. When I gave him this he was really happy see my gift to him. Now he keeps that on his table.
One of my uncles loves chocolates very much and so I made some at home and gave him some for a gift. He loves my chocolate recipe. One day I gifted the handwritten beautifully decorated recipe card to him. He was very happy and tried out my chocolate recipe.
For boyfriends we could gift them with hand painted T-shirt. My child is a boy that’s three years old and for his last birthday I presented him with a cute pillow that I made. I stuffed it with cotton and covered it with a hand worked pillow cover. I did some patch works of cartoon characters on it. He loved it very much.
