Inexpensive Co-workers Christmas Gifts

by Ben

Christmas in the work place can be a time of real togetherness, where everyone gets into the spirit of things, or it can be a real misery. Often the deciding factor is buying presents. With people earning different amounts of money, and with so many people sharing the same office, it’s hard to know who to buy for and what to buy them. Fortunately, it’s easy to think of inexpensive co-workers Christmas gifts.

The main way to help your colleagues towards thinking of more frugal Christmas gifts is to agree on a price limit on presents. This levels the playing field between workers, and ensures that everyone is saving a bit of money.

The other tool used in most offices is that of “Secret Santa”, where each person who wants in picks the name of someone else to buy a gift for. This, combined with the price limit, means you end only having to buy one Christmas gift, and everyone stays happy.

To find that perfect inexpensive co-workers Christmas gift on a budget, goodwill stores and dollar shops often make for interesting and unusual presents. It also helps you steer clear of tired clichés for cheap Christmas gifts, such as perfume for women and ties for men. It’s much better to try and find something that has a personal connection to the colleague you’re buying for, whether it be something that they’re interested in (a hobby or a favorite sports team, perhaps), or a private joke between the two of you. Either way, the financial limit shouldn’t be a limit on your creativity and thoughtfulness.
